Jan. 17, 2023 Cyprus – Our Christmas Break, Part 3

Hello again! Parts 1 and 2 of this post included our trip to Universal Studios, the Escape Room, and the Kennedy Space Center. Today’s post is about our visit to the Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando, Florida.

I love fish. That is what drew me to scuba diving. I might just have gone just a tad overboard with the fish pics. Feel free to move along. 🙂 Here we go . . .

I first want to say that I love this aquarium. If you are in or near Orlando, visit it!

Seriously, could there be a fish with a more creative design?
You are correct, this is not a real fish.
This guy kept staring at Kyle. He would swim away for a little bit and come right back and stare some more.
Ted the turtle turned 22 in 2022. He weighs over 200 pounds, but I don’t recall his exact weight.
There were stingrays of various sizes. This was a big one.
This eel actually folded itself in half to fit inside this “shell.”
Also not a real fish, but very festive!
This is a Brittle Star, a type of sea star.

We ended our trip to the aquarium with a behind the scenes tour. I highly recommend it. It is only $10 extra and well worth the price.

We played a round of mini golf after visiting the aquarium. Kyle and I have long been fans of mini golf, going back to when we played it near Estes Park, CO when he was a child. I played on that same mini golf course when I was a child. But this time it was in FL at Pirate’s Cove. It was a lovely afternoon/early evening and a nice course.

Kyle and I are both competitive in a friendly way. We tied at the end of the 18th hole, but I won in OT. (We’d found an extra ball along the way and Kyle was wise enough to pick it up. After we tied, Kyle suggested that we take turns putting the extra ball into the final hole to decide who actually won. I did.) 🙂

I will leave you with a picture of the very cool drink Kyle ordered at lunch:

Fun pictures! We love mini golf too, and Pirates Cove courses don’t disappoint.
The aquarium and universal studios look fabulous. We enjoyed the space center several years ago-
    Great memories for you two!
